Autoclave Forming Process
▌Process Principle
The prepreg (fibers preimpregnated with resin) is first laid up according to the design, then sealed in a vacuum bag and placed into a sealed autoclave. By means of step-by-step heating and pressurization, the prepreg expels air bubbles in the vacuum environment; the resin then flows uniformly and cures, ultimately forming a composite part with high density and low porosity.
▌Advantage
Exceptional product quality: Porosity < 1% with stable mechanical properties (excellent consistency in strength and stiffness);
Compatibility with complex structures: Capable of forming curved surfaces, large-sized parts, and special-shaped components (e.g., integral fuselage structures);
Strong material compatibility: Suitable for various high-performance resin systems, including epoxy and bismaleimide (BMI).
▌Application
Aerospace : Aircraft fuselage skins, wing panels, satellite structural components, etc.
High-end Equipment : Racing car bodies, drone airframes, etc.
Military : Missile compartments, radomes, etc.
